Your food donations are literally the “bread and butter” of our services here at the food bank. The bread, the butter, the meat n’ potatoes, and everything else in between! For your next grocery shopping trip, take along this [list] of our most commonly needed items.

We are a nonprofit, charitable organization that does not receive any government funding. We depend solely on your generosity. Make an online donation or set-up your monthly giving plan here:

Legacy Giving in memory of a loved one, or as a part of your own estate planning, can be a mutually beneficial gift that furthers a cause you believe in. Speak to your financial planner to learn more about creating a legacy of support for the work of the Moose Jaw & District Food Bank.

The annual “Better Together Food Drive” is our largest food drive of the year, collecting over 50,000 pounds of food donations in just one night! It happens every Halloween and we can never have too many volunteers to help coordinate, drive, collect, pack, and of course sort through the famous ‘food mountain’!

We are a small but fun group here at the food bank, and we are always so grateful for those that can lend us a hand in the warehouse with unpacking and sorting pallets, assembling food hampers, picking-up donations, and a host of other odd jobs. If you or your group are interested in volunteering at the warehouse, fill out the [volunteer application form] and stop by to meet and speak with our staff.

Plant an extra row in your garden and donate the surplus to help us provide fresh produce in our hampers. Farmers, hunters, fishermen, and avid gardeners can all help improve local food security in the community.

Leading the effort to organize a local Food Drive or Fundraiser (or both!) on behalf of the food bank is a great way to help us out! We have put together an informational brochure to get you started with the planning [PDF].

Are you a social media wizard? An aspiring photographer? A skilled grant writer? A people manager or a project leader? There’s always more that we can do at the food bank; pitch your ideas and let’s see what we can build together!
