We seek to build meaningful and purposeful community investment partnerships that will positively impact our neighbours for generations to come. We encourage volunteerism, supporting our employees so that they can give back in a fulfilling way.   

We feel differently about community investment. For us, it’s less about “donations” or “sponsorships,” and more about adding purpose to everything we say and do. Together with our partners, we’re able to build stronger communities through purposeful action.

This is home. This is where you raise your family, go to work, build a life, and become part of a community. We get it, because this is our home, too.

It's where we work to do the right thing for each other and our community. Whether it is volunteering at food shelves, planting trees and mentoring our youth, nearly 500 employee-led Cargill Cares Councils are coming together for our communities.

From Vietnam to Poland, Ghana to Mexico, Cargill’s employees are active and dedicated community members, partnering with NGOs around the globe to make an impact, where we live and work.

The sustainability of our business and our communities are indelibly linked. Our people are in many communities around the world. It’s where they live, work and raise a family. JGL is dedicated to partnering with farms and like-minded organizations in elevating our communities by putting commitment into action through our contributions, employee efforts and various sponsorships and partnerships. we work tirelessly to make lasting improvements and investments in the communities where we live.

 We believe contributing to the communities in which we do business creates a positive, lasting impact. As an organization we put people first in all that we do. By being involved with initiatives which better the community, we contribute to the well being of our members, employees and neighbours. We strive to assist as many requests as possible, while adhering to our policies and values. 

 We’re committed to making sure good food is donated to those who need it most. Through our partnership with Food Banks Canada, since 2012, we’ve donated approximately 74.9 million pounds of safe, surplus food and food products nationally. Every store is also paired with a local food bank and our annual Fight Hunger. Spark Change campaign in support of Food Banks Canada is part of Walmart’s global commitment to provide meals to those in need. Through the campaign, Walmart helps to raise awareness and encourage Canadians to take action to strengthen communities.  

 Every year we help reduce hunger by donating millions in food products and financial contributions to help address hunger across Western Canada. 

We are committed to  bringing awareness to the needs of local food banks, Safeway supports food bank drives in communities across Western Canada. Throughout the year we host a range of events, in partnership with local media and community leaders, intended to reduce hunger and highlight the most needed items by local food banks 

 We’re committed to the fight against childhood hunger.

In a country as prosperous as Canada, no child should experience hunger.

We believe we have a vital role to play, providing good food to many of the million Canadian children who live with food insecurity, every day.
